About Fiddler Magazine
Fiddler Magazine was founded Spring of 1994. Our aim is to provide an informative, educational, and entertaining resource for fiddlers, accompanists, and appreciative listeners. Each issue (now approx. 60 pages each) features a different region or style of fiddling, as well as plenty of other articles and columns:
- Bluegrass fiddling,
- "The Practicing Fiddler"
- Fiddle Tune History
- On Improvisation
- Violin Makers
- Instructional books & videos, and recordings
- And more....
Each issue also includes transcriptions of several tunes. Highlights from the current issue as well as links to previous issues can be found on the Articles page.
